Privacy Policy

Debrief Notes is built to be private by design. The app records audio, transcribes it, and generates summaries entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your data. There is no account, no server, and no cloud.
Nothing.
Debrief Notes does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
Debrief Notes requests microphone access solely to record audio that you choose to record. Recording only happens when you actively start it. Audio is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us.
The app uses on-device speech recognition to convert your recordings into text. This processing happens locally on your device.
To enable on-device summarization, the app may download an AI model file to your device once. This download fetches a model file only; it does not transmit any of your personal data, recordings, or notes. The model then runs entirely offline on your device.
Because all data is stored locally on your device:
We cannot delete your data for you, because we never have it.
Debrief Notes does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app is rated for general audiences.
Debrief Notes does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services for its core functionality. The app uses Apple's on-device frameworks and an on-device open-source AI model, both of which run locally.
If we change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
